Our Benchmarking 2025 Survey intends to show Garden Committees and Ratepayers how their garden’s expenditure compares to its peers.
The survey will elucidate how each garden compares to anonymised peers of a similar size / number of ratepayers on core price-influencing factors like size, length of railings, and number of ratepayers.
Please register your interest in participating:
Two Google Surveys will be opened to interested parties, with each Garden’s submissions held in confidence by GardenSquare, and invisible to other participants. Once submissions are collated you will be issued with a summary report showing your Garden’s position among anonymised peers.
Please note: as this survey is being offered for free there will be minimal support offered ahead of submission, and further analysis requested after the reports are circulated will be billable.
3-4 questions to establish the comparative costs of your Garden
The light survey will incorporate high level information gathered from at least 50 gardens to provide a summary view of expenditure in your Garden compared to peers of a similar size / with a similar number of ratepayers.
20-30 core questions and 20-30 optional questions to provide deep insight into how effectively your Garden spends its funds
The full survey will seek to look at the cost effectiveness of a Garden’s operations, provisions for recent / future projects, and financial health (reserves and ratepayer arrears).
This survey will only be launched if 12 or more gardens commit to completing the full survey.
Please register your interest in order to be invited to participate:
Both the light survey and the full survey will be delivered as a PDF report specific to your garden.
Each survey question will be represented as one or more graphs where your Garden is a highlighted points, and the peer group gardens are shown as consistent, anonymised points.
Beneath each chart will be a short summary of summary of the overall data, and what might be driving key differences between gardens.
